Cant wait for our wall tonight.

Matt and I have this thing...its called "walling." Basically its text language for walking. You know when you try and text something using T9 word on your phone and it comes out wrong because you didnt hit the "next" or "shift" button so words like "walk" come out like "wall" and "good" can be "home" (there are many other commonly switched words im sure). Well we like to use them once someone messes it up that word pretty much gets used for a while.

So we wall together at nights and its our favorite time :) We wall and talk about what we did that day and different things... plus its my prego exercise time. Today I did a sweet stretching yoga/pilates workout on FitTv and it rocked my world...I hope I can do it everyday because it made me feel so much more comfortable.

Holden,

Today you are 28 weeks 6 days old and you are lying in the most awkward position ever! Your head is on my lower left side (discovered by daddy) and your butt/feet are on the upper right. You like to push your feet out until my skin feels like its going to burst open and then give it one big kick...its pretty adorable but can you move to a new spot? I love you buddy and we cant wait for you to come. Somedays I sit and think about what it will be like when you get here and how much fun we will have as a family. I think about all the places we will take you even when you are too small to realize. I hope that we are the best parents for you and that we show you as much of the world as we can. Another thing I cant wait for is for you to meet the two puppies (aka the poopies) we have waiting for you... they consume all of our love and time right now which will soon be replaced with you! They are adorable and will probably be your two best friends for a while. The bump (which is an addicting pregnancy website) tells me that this month you are an eggplant and almost 15in long...but tomorrow 29 weeks (7months) you graduate to a squash so congratulations buddy! No more eggplant...the think I dont understand is that an eggplant is long and odd shaped kinda like a baby would be but a squash? A squash is like a ball! hmmm still havent figured that one out. You have been through a chiquita banana amount of fruits and vegetables though
wk 1 you werent even a thought in our minds much less big enough to be measured!

wk3-4 you were a poppyseed
wk5 you were an appleseed
wk6 you were a sweet pea (cute)
wk7 you were a blueberry
wk 8 rasberry
wk 9 green olive!
wk10 you were a prune
wk11 you were a lime
wk 12 plum
then a peach, lemon, orange
wk16 avocado
wk 17 onion
wk18 you were a sweet potato and I found out you were a boy version of this sweet potato!
wk 19 you became a mango (which i craved)
wk20 you were a cantaloupe
wk21 a banana
wk 21-24 you were a papaya and you grew nipples!
:) eggplant now and tomorrow a squash!

Im a proud momma already!

wk208 you will be a soccer star on the under 5 team that Uncle Dan coaches Im sure of it

My first Blog....

I'm sitting here at work bored like always (because I work at a desk now) and I decided I would start a blog. This is a blog for Matthew and for our son Holden who will make his debut in about 10 weeks. I was never really into the whole blogging thing but I can see the value in it especially since I am so bored half the time while I sit at work and my mind is always racing. So here we go, day one of Rachel the blogger...? weird.

Me: to sum myself up in one paragraph...go

I am a 22 year old 29 week pregnant girl married to a hot college student who loves to write. I love Jesus. I pride myself in my soccer playing skills and secretly wish I still played or at least finished playing in college. I hate doing the dishes and folding laundry but I love....vacuuming?(or at least how the carpet looks when its done) I love spaghetti and In n Out animal fries. I want to go to Greece someday with Matt, mostly inspired by The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. In my spare time I like to play with my puppies Lilly and Porkchop and sit on the couch watching HGTV wishing I had more money to decorate our house. I love snowboarding and if I could quit my job to practice and go into the Olympics for Snowboard Cross I totally would. I wish I was a better cook and I wish I could stay organized. I cant wait for my son to arrive so Matt and I can snuggle him. Oh yea...I'm a cop and I have a few guns but someday I will be a nurse hopefully at a nursing home.

Baby Blogish:

I am 29 weeks pregnant and am ready to get out of this desk job. I am super happy that I am safe here and my lil man can be safe inside me but really I feel like this is not the job I signed up for. This has been a fairly easy pregnancy (compared to all my others;) and I feel very lucky so far. No sickness in the beginning, I threw up only one time and it was from a headache. No severe backaches yet fingers crossed. I have been able to work out a little bit 4-5 times a week and walk almost every night with Matt. We have picked out the name Holden Blaine and I cant imagine it changing because we love it. Lil H has been kicking me for the past two weeks constantly. Its always nice to feel him but he has been making my right side sore because he is always sticking a body part out in the same spot. I was thinking yesterday that I will be sad when we aren't joined together anymore and other people want to take him from me. I feel like we have been hanging out for the past 7 months and no one else can take him away. On the other hand I am SO excited for his daddy to get to spend time with him. I almost cry every time he kicks for him now so I cant imagine when he gets to hold and love on him!

Holden,

We have your nursery all done and are anxiously awaiting your arrival! Your mom and Dad love you so much and feel your movements every moment we can. We cant wait to share our lives and love with you as soon as you get here. Keep cooking for a few more months and we will snuggle you soon. In the meantime we are getting ready for you and we cant wait.
